Bruno Falissard - University of Paris XI (UP, France)
Public Health Professor at Faculty of Medicine of University of Paris XI, with interests in application and development of statistical methods in Psychiatry and Epidemiology. He is director of the research unit Inserm Unit 1178, in the Maison de Solenn in Paris, with focus on the problematic of mental health from a public healt point of view. He is also director of the Research Center in Epidemiology and Population' Health (Inserm Unit 1018), in the Hospital Paul Brousse in Villejuif.

Luiz Alexandre Peternelli – University of Federal de Viçosa (UFV, Brasil) Full Professor in the Department of Statistics at University of Federal of Viçosa and fellow of Productivity in Research of CNPq - Level 1C, with experience in linear mixed models, experimental designs, stochastic simulation, genomic selection, predictive models for NIR data and statistical learning, with applications in cane sugar and vegetable breeding.
Lurdes Inoue - University of Washington (UW, United States of America) Associate Professor of Biostatistics at UW, with research interests in Bayesian methods in Biostatistics, MCMC methods, clinical trials, decision theory and cancer research. María Xosé Rodríguez Álvarez - Basque Center in Applied Mathematics (BCAM, Spain) Researcher at the Ikerbasque at BCAM, with multiple research interests with special focus medical and agricultural applications, namely statistical evaluation of the diagnostic (and / or prognostic) value of clinical biomarkers, development of efficient algorithms to estimate flexible regression models and categorization of clinical variables to include in predictive models. Raquel Menezes - University of Minho (UM, Portugal) Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematic and Applications at School of Sciences of UM, with research interests in spatial statistics, namely geostatistics. Other research topics of interest are related with estimation of non-parametric curves and temporal and space-temporal data analysis. Her research is motivated by applications in environment sciences and health. Ruwanthi Kolamunnage-Dona - University of Liverpool (UL, United Kingdom) Senior Professor of Biostatistics at Traditional Medicine Institute at UL, with research interests in joint modeling of longitudinal and survival data and design and analysis of clinical trials of biomarkers. She implemented methodologies in software R, contributing to the construction of the package joineR. |
